How do i know therapy is right for me?
Deciding if therapy is the right fit involves thoughtful consideration. Take a moment to reflect on whether you're facing challenges or emotions that affect your daily life or relationships. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or find it difficult to cope, therapy can provide valuable support. Moreover, if you're seeking personal growth, self-discovery, or want to develop effective coping strategies, therapy offers a nurturing environment for exploration. It's important to gauge your readiness to engage in the therapeutic process and be open to self-reflection and change. Speaking with a therapist can offer clarity and insight into whether therapy aligns with your needs and aspirations. We listen, support, encourage, reflect, engage, challenge, and inspire.
How long will i be in therapy?
Clients have autonomy over the duration of therapy, guided by their therapist. Some may seek therapy to navigate a challenging period or past event, while others engage in long-term therapy to continuously develop tools and skills for ongoing growth. The overarching aim of therapy is to empower clients to cultivate resilience and thrive independently, equipped with the necessary skills to navigate life's challenges.
Can therapists prescribe medication?
Our therapists specialize in evaluations and diagnostics, offering comprehensive assessments to guide treatment. While they cannot prescribe medication, they collaborate closely with psychiatrists or primary care physicians to ensure clients receive appropriate care. These diagnostic services are seamlessly integrated into sessions at no additional cost. Please note that our office does not currently employ any psychiatrists.
How much does it cost? Do you take insurance?
Our counseling fees vary depending on the type of counseling and the counselor's level, ranging from $60 to $150 per session. We strive to make counseling accessible to all by offering low-cost therapy options. Details regarding counselor levels and corresponding prices can be found on our "services" page.
Please note that we are out-of-network with insurance, meaning we do not directly accept it. However, many of our counselors provide superbills, allowing clients to file out-of-network claims with their insurance providers for potential reimbursement.
